Why 100% Testing?

Genuine Innovations prides itself on building quality into every valve, every regulator, every inflation device we make. Working with high pressure gas systems requires the highest standards in quality control. Incoming components are inspected to be sure they meet our established specifications. Then, during the production process, each valve is 100% tested for function, leakage and flow rate. We take these extra steps to guarantee the highest quality products are sold by Genuine Innovations. And we mean guarantee. We have a lifetime warranty replacement program. What this means is that, remote as it seems, if you receive a product with a defect, we replace either the defective part, or in many cases, the complete product.
Our commitment to high quality, high performance, and safe devices is unsurpassed.
Our extensive product testing begins on the production line, not afterwards. Since we assemble all our products here in Tucson, Arizona, we're able to provide excellent quality control. We conduct inspections at crucial points all along the line, not just at the end of the assembly. We perform measurements to thousandths of an inch, visual inspections are done to be sure parts, such as o-rings, aren't left out. We also do functional tests of sub-assemblies prior to building the final product to further our defect rate.
For example, when a lance assemblies are built, each one is visually inspected to be sure the lance tip hasn't broken, that o-rings are installed correctly and have no deformities. A lance, once installed in the fitting, is checked using a depth gauge to make sure it's at a specified depth, to within thousandths of an inch. If it doesn't meet specs, it goes into a rework bin. If it doesn't meet spec after a rework, it's rejected and although this is a bit expensive, since brass and steel aren't cheap metals, but, in the long run, you get a product you know works. And, it's safe. There's very little likelihood of an accidental discharge of the high pressure gas unless it's purposely done.
Here's a couple interesting things:
1) Being human, and not being perfect, we have some returns. But, it's a return rate of approximately .002 % per month! You read it right. Now, I must admit I didn't do all my homework, so I don't have exact figures, but that's pretty impressive.
2) One of our engineers, Carey Costle, said they've tested inflators for leakage by placing them in water to see if there were any bubbles, indicating a leak. They mathematically figured out that, using a 16 gram CO2 cartridge in an inflator, if a 1/4" bubble round floated to the surface every ten seconds, it meant the CO2 would last 16-18 days. That's if we allowed even that small amount of leakage through. But we don't. We allow NO leakage, or at least none that's reasonably detectable.
When we build CO2 regulators we test each one for the correct pressure (Pounds per Square Inch, PSI) or flow rate (Liters/Minute). When you place an order for a regulator that needs a pressure of 35 psi at the output, you can rest assured you're going to get 35 psi. Our customers often need a regulated device to be set to a pressure but really need a device at a specific flow rate. We did this for the CO2 Airbrush we sold to Visage, Helen of Troy so each unit sprayed at nearly the same rate. Each regulator assembly was tested and adjusted to specific flow rate. We do this level of testing whether the order is for one or one million.
We perform 100% functional tests of finished products to be absolutely sure they work prior to going to the warehouse for shipping. We test hand pumps by, you guessed it, actually pumping it. If it leaks, it's rejected.
So, to answer the original question: Why 100% testing? Well, we want you to order valves and regulators you know will work, right out of the package and that you know are safe. And, we want your repeat business. And what it really boils down to is that we're all rather proud of our company and we have a reputation to uphold.

CO2Pros Videos Launched

Genuine Innovations has launched two new YouTube sites: www.youtube.com/InnoCo2 and www.youtube.com/co2pros. The two sister sites debuted with the new series of short videos: ATV CO2 Tire Repair & Inflation Kit to the Rescue!, Bigfoot and the ATV CO2 Tire Repair & Inflation Kit, and La Senorita and the Street CO2 Tire Repair & Inflation Kit.

The latest video, Katie Ellis - Microflate Nano, features Professional Triathlete, Hawaii Ironman Finisher, and National Champion - Katie Ellis. Max, the Super Tricyclist, rolls up on his tricycle to save the day with a Microflate Nano and a 16g CO2 Cartridge. Just press, twist and inflate. Max says - Save your pumping for the pedals.

The YouTube sites feature the video that are also available on Genuine Innovations main website, www.GenuineInnovations.com and the Custom Valve site www.Co2Pros.com.

Marty Mares, president of Genuine Innovations, and Tyler Ford, founder of www.ride-strong.com, have begun a series of instructional videos on how the various CO2 inflators work in a real world setting. Marty hopes this new avenue will help people to understand the simplicity, speed and value of using Genuine Innovations CO2 Inflators.

Genuine Innovations of Tucson, AZ has launced a new website, www.co2pros.com, to market our CO2 cartridge and custom valve technology side to OEM customers. The new website features detailed specifications for all of Genuine Innovations valves such as the Ultraflate, Microflate, Air Chuck, Multiflate, CO2 Regulator, and CO2 Air Brush.

The website has been a work in progress over the last year and we are proud to launch it officially May 1, with the new look shared with Genuine Innovations main retail web site, www.genuineinnovations.com. Our Communications Director, Michae Drabousky has added a new look to the logos and overall layout on the site. The site project was headed up by, Erik Williams, with his focus mostly on getting the specification pages as detailed as possible with help from Engineering and also Paul Hintze, Innovations star photographer.

CO2 Regulator Patented

CO2 Regulator Patented

April 25, 2008

Genuine Innovations of Tucson, AZ has received a patent from United States Patent office for their high-pressure CO2 Regulator. It was developed for use with miniature gas CO2 cartridges or cylinders such as those used for BB guns. Genuine Innovations has sold over 400,000 of this CO2 regulator to date. We are extremely pleased at the performance and reliability of the regulator. We are also delighted to announce this patent protection for our customers and the many devices utilizing this amazing little CO2 regulator.

The gas regulator is perfect for small portable applications, such as a portable air brush, where high-pressure gas needs to be reliably reduced to usable levels. The CO2 regulator is capable of taking extremely high-pressure 10,000-PSI gas pressure and safely delivering 20 to 150 PSI. The regulator will work with most of Genuine Innovations gas cartridges and will regulate most gases. This new regulator is built from standard Genuine Innovations valve components and yet packs amazing new technology all delivered in low cost solution.

Co2Pros Blog Launch

Genuine Innovations custom valve division is breaking out on its own. The OEM, original equipment manufacturing, side of our company is about to break into the 50% territory as a portion of Genuine Innovations revenue. With the new release of Google Ads for our freshly patented Co2 Regulator, our hit rate to our website, www.co2pros.com has quadrupled.

We expect sales for our Custom Valve products to continue at the accelerated pace for the 2008 and beyond. We are all concerned for business in general with the economy slowing and yet our customer base is expanding so any contraction we see with a particular customer is offset with the growth we are currently experiencing.
